Villa d'Est Garden Farm and Winery

Savor the luxurious atmosphere of this beautiful winery
"If the Europeans saw this amazing slope, they would surely start a winery here," was the thought celebrated essayist Toyoo Tamamura had when he fell in love with the landscape and started producing wine here in 2003. The city of Tomi has long sunlight hours with significant temperature differences, providing an ideal environment to harvest grapes for winemaking.
Enjoy the coming-together of wine with fresh local produce
The winery cafe offers a host of seasonal menus made with vegetables and herbs grown in the winery garden, as well as vegetables from local farmers and other delicacies produced around Nagano. Try the chef-recommended lunch course menu, or if visiting during the weekend, the supper course while gazing at the stunning view of the sun setting on the Northern Alps. During non-lunch hours, enjoy light meals or tea along with home-made sweets, and of course, tasting the fine wines of Villa d'Est (charges apply).
