Higashi Shiiya Falls
Designated Place of Scenic Beauty of Japan & One of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls
A Designated Place of Scenic Beauty of Japan & chosen as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, Higashi Shiiya Falls is also known as the Kegon of Kyushu for its resemblance to the famous Kegon Falls of Nikko.

The scenery surrounded by beautiful greenery and the sight of the water plunging down from the 85-meter cliff are breathtaking. The site is replete with negative ions.

Another feature of these falls is the splendor of the gorge and its crystal clear waters that flow out from the waterfall basin. The many changing faces of the scenery, from the beautiful new green leaves reflected in the clear waters in spring to the stunning colors of autumn, captivate all who visit here.
