Try Making Hand-Made Cosmetics with Sericite During Your Trip to Toei, Aichi
There is a sericite mine in Toei Town, Aichi and at “naori”; visitors can experience to make mineral foundation and some other cosmetics with ingredients from Toei Town.
The mineral sericite is the base material for foundation and with its sericite mine, Toei Town, Aichi is the perfect location to bring out the best of your beauty with some beauty tourism―try cosmetics making experiences and exploring the mines. (Reservation is required for each program)
Mineral Foundation Crafting Experience
Use a generous portion of sericite mined in Toei Town to make a mineral foundation by hand to give you smooth, glowing skin.
Time: 10:30-12:00/13:30-15:00
Acceptance: 2 people or more
(A minimum of 2 peoples is required for each workshop to operate, except Saturday)
Admission fee: 3,000 yen (excluding tax)
Body Powder Crafting Experience
Use sericite to make a dry body powder fragranced with essential oils.
Time: 10:30-11:30/13:30-14:30
Acceptance: 2 people or more
(A minimum of 2 peoples is required for each workshop to operate, except Saturday)
Admission fee: 2,500 yen (excluding tax)
Explore the Sericite Mine
This program allows you to look around the sericite mine while learning about its history and the work done there. This is the only place in Japan where you can look around a hand-drill mine in operation. The program is held on the second Saturday of every month.
Required time: 90 minutes
Acceptance: 4 people or more
