Kochi Castle History Museum

Kochi Castle History Museum is a new hub for the culture and history of Tosa. This museum is the main venue of the Shikoku Kochi Bakumatsu Restoration Exhibition, and visitors can enhance their understanding of the Bakumatsu-Meiji restoration period.

The museum collection contains an entire 67,000 precious items handed down from the Yamauchi family, who presided over the Tosa domain. The items exhibited are periodically changed. One of the best things about Kochi Castle Museum of History is being able to feel the power of National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties in person.
