International Fuel Surcharge / Insurance Surcharge Information
ANA Group operating airlines (ANA, Air Japan) have a fuel surcharge and insurance surcharge in place, to be charged to passengers to cover part of the cost increases that are associated with jumps in the price of aviation fuel and flight insurance and the strengthening of airline security. The fuel surcharge and the insurance surcharge listed below are those applicable to ANA international flights (including code-share flights operated by partner airlines) to/from Japan. The fuel surcharge and the insurance surcharge for flights other than the above are not included.

Applicable Conditions

The fuel surcharge shall apply evenly to all passengers, and the same amounts shall apply to adults, children and infants. The fuel surcharge shall apply on AMC award tickets as well.This surcharge does not apply to infants under two years old who do not occupy seats.

When an unused portion of the ticket is presented for refund the surcharges for such sectors will be refunded in full.

Amount may change without advance notice subject to government approval of related countries.

The handling procedures for fuel surcharge amendments occurring after a ticket has been issued and before the date of departure are as follows.

The balance is not adjusted if the ticket is not changed (*).

When the ticket is changed (*),
If the wholly unused ticket is changed,
the cost will be adjusted to take account of the difference between the fuel surcharge applicable to the original ticket and the revised fuel surcharge.
When partially used ticket is changed(*),
no adjustment of the fuel surcharge will be made.

Change means changes in itinerary, departure date with the same flight number, flight number with the same itinerary, and booking of a flight on the open dated tickets.
Example:

Departure date change from March 25 to April 5 for NH010 Tokyo-New York.

Flight number change from NH010 to NH1010 Tokyo-New York on the same day.

Making reservation of NH010 Tokyo-New York on April 5 for open dated ticket.
