Prayer rituals
At Shigisan, rituals are held every day for visitors who have requested prayers. The temple’s enshrined god, Bishamonten, is versatile in granting wishes in all areas including the safety of family, prosperity in business, health, warding off bad luck and bringing good luck. Receive the blessings of Bishamonten when visiting and praying at the temple.
Training experiences
Both day trip and overnight stay plans are available, offering customized training. Overnight visitors can stay at the shukubo temple lodging and participate in the goma kitou (fire prayer) on the second day from 5 a.m. Leave your daily life, pay full attention to self and reset your mind and body through training such as shakyo (sutra copying), shabutsu (Buddhist imagery tracing), asokukan (breathing mediation to become one with Buddha) and samu (miscellaneous tasks around the temple).
