Two Stars 4047

Circle the West Kyushu area on two unique train routes
Explore the West Kyushu area on the “Two Stars 4047” train, starting with the Ariake Sea route (morning route) featuring the sea that boasts the largest tidal range in Japan. In contrast, the calm and serene waves of the Omura Bay route (afternoon route) give the bay the nickname Koto Sea, named after the traditional Japanese harp. Enjoy the complementary views of the seas from the train window and experience the attractions of the “two stars” of Kyushu tourism, Saga and Nagasaki prefectures, on the historic KiHa 40 and 47 series train cars.

Takeo Onsen
In the center of Takeo City in western Saga stands a majestic red tower gate. Pass through the two-story gate to reach the Takeo Onsen hot spring resort, which boasts a long history of around 1,300 years. The spring water is known for its excellent qualities in beautifying the skin thanks to its moisturizing effect. While staying in the resort, try different types of public bathhouses, including Motoyu, Japan's oldest wooden public bath, and Tonosamayu, a bath specifically created for feudal lords.
Mount Inasa
Mount Inasa is found in the town of Inasa in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki. There is a ropeway that takes visitors to the summit, where there is an observatory offering sweeping views of the city of Nagasaki, which is known as being one of the three cities in Japan with the best night views. During the spring season, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms in bloom along with the panoramic views. Don't miss a visit to Mount Inasa during your stay in Nagasaki.
