Follow these simple procedures to check in your baggage without having to wait in line at the counter.

  • * Available to customers who have completed check-in procedures.
  • * As the various handling procedures will be different for flights operated by Japan Air Commuter and Amakusa Airlines.
BAGGAGE & CHECK IN

How to Use This Service

STEP1

Place your baggage inside the ANA Baggage Drop machine.

  • Place the baggage on its side up against the back wall of the machine.
  • Items of baggage must be checked in one at a time.
    (If you have multiple items, please check them in one by one.)

STEP2

Scan your boarding pass on the reader below the screen.

STEP3

Take the baggage tag that is printed out.

STEP4

Turn over the baggage tag, loop it through the handle of your bag, and press the ends together.

Stick parts [1] and [2] of the tag together (indicated on reverse).

STEP5

The door will close automatically. Remember to take the printed claim tag and keep it safe until arriving at your destination.

This service is also available for customers connecting to an ANA Japan domestic flight (including codeshare flights). Customers who have an international flight ticket and will be connecting to an international flight cannot use this service, and should therefore check in their baggage at a baggage counter.

Weight and Number of Pieces Which Can Be Checked

  • * For flights departing on/after May 19, 2026, the descriptions on the reservation search page for Japan domestic flights will change from "Premium Class" and "Economy Class Seat" to "First Class (Premium Class)" and "Economy Class" respectively.
  • * Depends on the fare purchased.
  • Premium Class: Up to 3 pieces
  • Economy Class: Up to 2 pieces
  • Size: Maximum dimensions of 80 cm x 75 cm x 45 cm

Customers whose baggage exceeds the free allowance should check in their baggage at a baggage counter.

Star Alliance Gold Members

Baggage within the Free Baggage Allowance of the boarding class plus up to 1 piece can be checked in free of charge.

Dangerous goods, items such as those listed below, fragile items, and items of non-standard shape cannot be checked in using ANA Baggage Drop.

  • Mobile batteries
  • Golf bags
  • Skis and snowboards
  • Surfboards
  • Pets
  • Baby strollers
  • Umbrellas * Excludes folding umbrellas stowed in baggage.
  • Tripods
  • Items of baggage with dimensions in excess of 80 cm x 75 cm x 45 cm
  • Overweight baggage (exceeding free baggage allowance)

Please note that ANA Baggage Drop is not available when using the Kaisoku Takku-bin home delivery service.

For pets, baby strollers, large-sized baggage, overweight baggage, fragile items, and home delivery items, please use a baggage counter in the area indicated by the illustration below.
