Since the boarding gate check-in counters might be subject to change, please check at the airport to the day of departure.

Information

Temporary closure of Airport Transit System(Train)
From January 8, 2019, ATS will be closed due to terminal renovation.
There will be a shuttle bus service that will operate between Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 for 24 hours a day.

On the 1st Floor of Terminal 5 where you will arrive, there are immigration, baggage claim, customs and 1-STOP lanes. Passengers with a connection on American Airlines (AA) or United Airlines (UA) should proceed to the connection baggage counter for that airline. There are also Information and currency exchange and outside the exit there are areas for boarding/alighting buses and taxis. Passengers traveling between the terminals should take the escalator to the shuttle station Airport Transit System (ATS) between terminals.

Please present your passport, Immigration Card, and Customs Declaration Form.

Customs

Carry-on luggage inspection Passengers who do not check in baggage can also use "1-STOP" lane (only in the afternoon).For details, see O'Hare International Airport.

Information

Passengers who plan to travel to the United States must obtain pre-travel authorization though ESTA by themselves before departure.See "Electronic System for Travel Authorization."

On the ATS Level of the Terminal 1 where you will depart from, there is a station for the monorail (Airport Transit System) that goes around all the terminals in the airport. Take an escalator from that station to the Upper Level and there is an ANA check-in and ticketing counters to perform check-in procedures. After the procedures, please proceed to the security check or fast track security screening. After passing through, on Concourse B, there are Information and United Club. Further on, on Concourse C, there are another United Club and the Polaris Lounge.

Transit

From ANA to Other Airline companies

On the 1st Floor arrival floor of Terminal 5, there are the American Airlines (AA) connection baggage counter, United Airlines (UA) connection baggage counter, Information and currency exchange. There is also an escalator to the shuttle station Airport Transit System (ATS) between terminals. Outside of Exit 5E, there is a shuttle bus station between terminals.

For customers connecting to domestic flights, please use the shuttle bus service from the 5E exit of the first floor arrival lobby.

    Please get on the "Terminal only" shuttle bus.
    Routeļ¼šTerminal 5 to Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 to Terminal 5.
    It takes about 20 minutes from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1 when traffic jams occur.

Please make sure to pick up your baggage.

  • All customers are required to pass through the immigration control and custom inspection checkpoints.(The same applies to cases when the final destination is not in the U.S.)
  • Your checked-in baggage must be picked up after completing immigration control.(Please make sure to pick up the baggage even when the final destination is printed on the tag of your baggage.)

Please check in your baggage again at the connecting airline.

Please note that check-in locations differ according to each connecting airline.

When connecting to UA (United Airlines), AA (American Airlines)

Since the connecting counter of UA is located at the far end right side before the exit from Customs and that of AA counter at the left side, please check in your baggage here again.(Check-in services are also available here.)

When connecting to AC (Air Canada) or DL (Delta Air Lines)

You can check in the baggage at the baggage belt before the connecting counter of UA.(This applies only to the case where the baggage tag shows the final destination.)

When connecting to any other airline

You can check in the baggage at the baggage belt before the connecting counter of AA.(This applies only to the case where the baggage tag shows the final destination.)

Please confirm the terminal where your connecting flight departs from, at one of the information boards located throughout the airport.

This is the terminal map for O'Hare International Airport. There is an Airport Transit System (ATS) shuttle between terminals that connects the Terminal 1, where ANA flights depart from, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and Terminal 5, where ANA flights arrive. In addition, between Terminals 1, 2 and 3, there is a shuttle bus station for airport hotels.

From Other Airline companies to ANA

  • Passengers who arrive at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 must proceed directly to the departure gate.
  • Passengers who arrive at other terminals must proceed to the ANA check-in counter of Terminal 1.
