Furumine Shrine

Furumine Shrine was founded around 1,300 years ago in dedication to Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto, a prince and mythological folk hero of ancient Japan. The shrine is also famous for enshrining the Tengu, a legendary creature with magical powers said to be the messenger of the prince and which wards off disasters.

Furumine-en Garden

A spacious garden on the premises of Furumine Shrine, Furimine-en Garden is a stroll garden built utilizing the grounds' vast natural landscape and drawing a stream from the beautiful Oashi River. Relax with a bowl of matcha tea in the serene tea room, or enjoy a meal or sweets made from fresh local produce at the tea house.
