Keishu-En, in Takeo Town in Takeo City, Saga, is a garden that "borrows" the views of nearby Mount Mifune. It was created by Kinsaku Nakane, a famous landscape architect who was known as "the Kobori Enshu of the Showa Era." The garden features beautiful tea fields, waterfalls, stone arrangements, and shrubbery.

In spring, the azaleas add a riot of color to the garden. At "Mifune-Jaya" (tea house), which is located inside the garden, you can enjoy a matcha green tea ceremony experience. Enjoy it as a set with a Japanese sweet. The tea house also holds mini events featuring collaborations between the local sweets and Takeo ware, a pottery style with a 400-year-old history. Enjoy your tea in the latest bowls direct from the potteries.

The potteries’ latest creations are featured at each event. Mini events featuring Takeo Ware and sweets are held regularly.
