Aru Ressha

Operating since August 2015, the “Aru Ressha” is a luxurious passenger train decked in gold tones and adorned with elegant arabesque patterns and stained-glass décor. The two-car train features open-space seating in Car No. 1 and private compartments in Car No. 2. Kora Taisha Shrine

Kora Taisha Shrine that boasts one of the largest sanctuary in Kyushu region is a popular power spot in Kurume City in Fukuoka. Appreciated as the god who wards off evil spirits as well as bringing various benefits such as life extension and longevity, people visit the shrine to buy “omamori” amulets or receive a “goshuin” stamp, which is a token of a visit. Held in August, the Kento-sai festival is a representative summer event that captivates visitors with a sublime scenery of the vermillion torii gate standing at the end of the lantern-lit path against a backdrop of the night view of the city.

Mount Yufu

Yufuin in Oita is a great place to enjoy not only hot springs but also the magnificent nature for sightseeing. On the 1,584-meter Mount Yufu, you can enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride. This beautiful, noble mountain with double peaks is called “Bungo Fuji (the Mount Fuji of Oita)” and has been worshipped by locals since ancient times.
