Tsushima, which is about 132km from Hakata Port, 49.5km from Busan, Korea, is a large island next to Sado and Amami Oshima in Japan. Under the right weather conditions, you can see the city of Busan with the naked eye from the north of the island.
In Tsushima, exchange has been actively carried out since ancient times as a window to Japan conveying the culture of the continent, such as bronze ware, rice cultivation, Buddhism, Chinese characters, and so on. Soba noodles are said to have come to Japan from the Chinese mainland via the Korean Peninsula in the latter part of the Jomon Period, and valuable "Taishu Soba" is said to be close to the original soba, having a pleasant scent and distinctive taste which is highly evaluated.
In addition, there are numerous unique ecosystems and animal species such as the Tsushima leopard cat and Taishu Horse.
Located in the central part of the island, Aso Bay consists of a curved ridge that is specific to the Ria type coast and a large number of small islets. The view from Mount Eboshi observatory, Kamizaka Park is spectacular. Aso Bay is known as a good natural harbor, and its calm waves are perfect for sea kayaking. Enjoy the view of the blue sea blending into the green mountains.
