ANA Group revises flight schedule for second half of FY2016

TOKYO, August 24, 2016 - ANA, Japan's leading airline, has revised its flight schedule for the second half of FY2016, to accommodate the strong demand for inbound travel to Japan, and inter-connecting flights linking North America and the rest of Asia via Tokyo. The revised schedule includes the newly-launched Haneda services to New York (JFK), Chicago and Kuala Lumpur, which were announced June 29.

In addition, ANA will introduce more convenient flight times from Haneda to Honolulu and Los Angeles, and will increase the flight frequency between Narita and Ho Chi Minh City to twice-daily beginning October 30. These changes will offer greater convenience not only for passengers traveling between Japan and Vietnam, but also those traveling via Narita on inter-connecting routes between Vietnam and North America.

Details of the revised schedules are outlined below.

International Routes
ANA will introduce new routes between Haneda and New York and Chicago. The new routes are possible thanks to the agreement reached in February 2016 between Japan and the U.S. authorities to allow the operation of daytime departure and arrival slots (6 a.m.-11 p.m.) at Haneda to and from U.S. cities.

ANA's new flight service between Haneda and Kuala Lumpur and increased frequency of flights between Narita and Ho Chi Minh City will provide added convenience and address growing travel demand between Asia and Japan, and Asia and the United States.

ANA currently offers full-flat seats in Business Class and Premium Economy service on all flights to North America, Europe and Oceania. The airline plans to introduce these services to 10 flights on seven routes of Asian destinations by the end of January 2017, prioritizing long-haul flights such as to Southeast Asia and India. In addition, ANA will introduce Boeing 787-9, equipped with full-flat seats in Business Class, and implement Premium Economy service on flights between Haneda and Honolulu.
