Itineraries and Airlines for Which It Is Not Possible to Apply For International Flight Awards on the ANA Website

It is not possible to apply for an international flight award for certain itineraries and airlines on the ANA website.

If you wish to apply for an international flight award for such an itinerary or airline, you can make an application via the ANA Mileage Club Service Center without incurring any ticketing service charges (excluding some itineraries).
The itineraries and airlines for which applications for international flight awards cannot be made on the ANA website are shown below.

Itineraries with Mixed Boarding Classes

Example of when it is not possible to apply for an international flight award on the ANA website. The itinerary includes a connection and mixed boarding classes. (The passenger deliberately selects a lower boarding class even though a higher one is available.) (Example) This example is for a roundtrip itinerary from Bangkok to Los Angeles via Tokyo. On the outbound journey, the passenger will travel in Economy Class on the flight from Bangkok to Tokyo and in Business Class on the flight from Tokyo to Los Angeles. However, on the return journey, they will travel in Business Class on the flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo and the flight from Tokyo to Bangkok. As the passenger has deliberately chosen to travel in Economy Class on the outbound flight from Bangkok to Tokyo in spite of Business Class being available, they will not be able to apply for an international flight award for this itinerary on the ANA website. (This would not apply if Business Class was not available on the flight from Bangkok to Tokyo, or if a standby request could be made.)
Example of when it is possible to apply for an international flight award on the ANA website. The itinerary includes a connection and mixed boarding classes. (A higher boarding class is not available.) (Example) This example is for a roundtrip itinerary from Osaka to London via Tokyo. On the outbound journey, the passenger will travel in Economy Class on the flight from Osaka to Tokyo and in Business Class on the flight from Tokyo to London. However, on the return journey, they will travel in Economy Class on the flight from London to Tokyo and the flight from Tokyo to Osaka. As the passenger will travel in Economy Class on the outbound and return flights between Osaka and Tokyo due to Business Class not being available, they will be able to apply for an international flight award for this itinerary on the ANA website.
