Precautions when Traveling to the Philippines

You will need to show a return flight ticket or ticket for a flight bound for a third country when passing through Immigration.Please be noticed that passengers without a paper ticket or a printed Itinerary Receipt will be refused to enter.

About the transfer between terminals

Transfer method and some notes

For transfer between terminals, taxi and free shuttle bus are available.

The time required for the transfer varies largely by waiting time for taxi, operation status of shuttle bus and traffic congestion.

Also, you need to go through Security Check to enter the departure terminal for connecting flights.

Furthermore, Immigration for entering the country and Customs can be congested.

Passengers who use connecting flights are requested to allow time for these processes.

Arriving at Terminal 2 are requested to use the shuttle bus operated between terminals by Philippine Airlines.

Taxi via booking app

Airport → City (The only taxi booking app in the Philippines is Grab. You can download the app in advance and use it to call a taxi in the airport or you can request vehicle dispatch at the dedicated booth outside the terminal. Fares vary by factors such as traffic conditions, type of vehicle, and time period, and it is best to confirm the fare at the time of booking.)

Coupon Taxi

Airport → City (fare is predetermined depending on the destination)

Platform: Once exiting the arrival lobby, you will see a counter with a sign "Coupon Taxi". Tell them your destination, and receive a ticket (which will state the fare). Take the ticket with you and get on board the assigned vehicle. Tell the driver your destination. Pay the driver directly when getting off the taxi.
Time required: Approx. 30 to 60 minutes (Heavy traffic jams may extend the trip to more than 2 hours.)
Fare: Pasay, from P150, Makati, from P330, Ermita and Malate, from P530, Quezon and Cubao, from P610

Premium Airport Bus

Airport → Central Manila

Bus stop: The bus stop for the Ube Express, a purple-bodied airport bus, is just outside the arrival lobby.
Time required: About 50 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes (Heavy traffic jams may extend the trip to more than 2 hours.)
Fare: Pasay P 150, Ermita P 150, Cubao P 300
Operating hours: Every 1 to 2 hours between about 9:00 and 21:00
