Compared with the larger used car dealer chains in Japan, JCM may not have as much market recognition. However, the company was actually established with investment from the Japan Used Car Dealers Association and 20 major Japanese companies in 1984. JCM acquires vehicles from not only individual consumers, but also government entities and corporations, and has proven to deliver some of the best results for this industry in Japan. These include the creation and administration of Car Sensor (a Japanese magazine and website for used vehicle information), as well as the distribution of a publication and website called "Kaigai Iroha" to provide information for Japanese nationals who are on work assignments in other countries. From January 1, 2025 onward, the minimum selling value for vehicles being sold will change to JPY 50,000.
From January 1, 2025 onward, vehicle purchases will no longer be eligible for accrual.

Mileage Accrual

When Selling Vehicles

Customers who sell their vehicles to JCM can earn miles according to the contracted selling price. Referrers can earn 2,000 miles as well.

Only the person who is named as the owner or user of the vehicle on the vehicle inspection certificate and family members who live with said person are eligible for mileage accrual.

Cannot be used in conjunction with other benefits.

Referrers will only accrue referrer miles if they introduce a vehicle seller to JCM and that person finalizes a vehicle sale contract.

Both the contracted seller and the referrer can accrue referrer miles if they are both ANA Mileage Club members. However, in this case the referrer cannot be the contracted seller's spouse or a family member who lives with them.

Referrer miles can only be accrued when the vehicle's final selling price is at least JPY 100,000.

From the JCM online assessment page, enter your ANA Mileage Club membership number (10 digits) and submit your application, or alternatively inform the Customer Center that you wish to earn ANA miles.
Alternatively, present your ANA Card or ANA Mileage Club Card to the JCM assessment specialist when finalizing the seller's contract.

Mileage is only accrued when selling directly to JCM. Vehicles sold to designated partner dealers (including trade-ins) are not eligible for mileage accrual.
