This page provides information regarding the use of electronic devices including smartphones on board Japan domestic flights.
Upon departure, electronic devices which emit radio waves are not permitted to be used from when the doors close until the aircraft finishes the landing roll after landing. When the aircraft doors close, please set your device to not emit radio waves, or turn off the power. The cabin attendants will make an announcement to notify the passengers.
All electronic devices can be used after a cabin attendant makes an announcement upon completion of the landing roll after landing.
Please make sure to turn off the power of any electronic devices before you place them in baggage which you are going to check in.
The following electronic devices which emit radio waves for the purpose of communication during operation: (This excludes any of the devices listed below that have an output power of 100 mW or less.)
Electronic devices which carry out wireless communication with facilities outside the aircraft
Cell phones (including smartphones)
Personal computers (PCs)
Personal Digital Assistants
Electronic game consoles
Portable data communication terminals
Transceivers
Radio-controlled toys
Wireless microphones
Connections between Bluetooth devices (wireless mice, wireless headphones, medical equipments, etc.) and connections between Wi-Fi devices (electronic game consoles) are permitted at all times. If using your device on an aircraft equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi, make sure to set it to not emit radio waves. Note that since wireless communication is restricted to that occurring within the aircraft, connecting to mobile Wi-Fi routers or public wireless LAN is prohibited.

Please set the device to not emit radio waves by the time the aircraft doors close.
Please refrain from talking on the phone as it may disturb the surrounding passengers.
If the captain determines that there is interference with the safe operation of the aircraft, the use of electronic devices may be prohibited even during periods in which use would normally be permitted. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
Even if your electronic device is listed on this page and has an output power of 100 mW or less. you may be asked to refrain from using it if there is a risk that it will cause discomfort or inconvenience to or endanger other passengers.
The use of electronic devices other than those listed above may be restricted in accordance with other company rules and regulations and the cabin attendants may ask for your cooperation in this matter. If passengers using medical equipment such as pacemakers are seated nearby, you may be asked to refrain from using electronic devices.
Please watch the safety demonstration shown by video or performed by the cabin attendants upon departure to confirm the relevant safety-related instructions. Furthermore, we kindly request that you cooperate with the cabin attendants whenever they make a safety-related request.
Please store electronic devices that may interfere with an emergency evacuation under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartments in the same manner as other baggage. As electronic devices may get damaged if they become stuck between seats, store them carefully.
Please use your cell phones, electronic games and DVD players etc., with consideration for other passengers on board.
