Delayed or Missing Baggage (International Flights)

  • If a codeshare flights or flights operated by other airlines are included in the itinerary, the conditions of carriage of other airlines may apply.

  • If a Japan domestic flight and an international flight are purchased on the same ticket, the conditions of carriage for the international flight will also apply to the Japan domestic flight.

We handle passengers' checked baggage with great care until reaching the destination, however, there are cases in which baggage may not reach its destination.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
ANA will sincerely work to resolve the issue.

Declaration Deadline

Within 21 days from the day following the passenger's arrival date

How to Report

Please report your missing baggage immediately by using one of the following methods to file your report;

  • Report via delayed baggage self-service portal
    Delayed baggage report

  • Contact baggage service desk at the arrival airport

    For flights arriving in Japan, an Application/Authorization Letter must be submitted to the customs office for customs clearance.

  • *

    If you arrive on a flight other than an ANA  Group-operated international flights (flight numbers beginning with "NH"),  contact the operating airline directly.

In order to expedite the search for your baggage, you may be asked to provide details regarding the contents of the baggage. This constitutes important information which will be used for reference when issuing compensation.

Compensation

If unfortunately the baggage is not found after a full search, we will compensate you in accordance with the conditions of carriage after 30 to 45 days from your arrival or the declaration of the delayed baggage.
