1952 Dec. Japan Helicopter & Aeroplane Transports Co., Ltd. is established, with the goal of restoring regular air transportation services disrupted by WWII. Initial capital is ¥150 million.
1953 Feb. The company starts a helicopter service.
1953 May. The company is authorized to operate a charter passenger service.
1953 Oct. The company is authorized to operate a scheduled passenger service.
1953 Dec. The company expands our network of routes after starting cargo services on the trunk line Tokyo/Osaka route.
1955 Nov. Douglas DC-3s are introduced.
1957 Dec. The company name is changed to All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd.
1958 Mar. ANA merges with Far Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd.,; capital increases to ¥600 million.
1960 Jul. Viscount 744s are introduced.
1961 Jun. Friendship F-27s and Viscount 828s are introduced.
1961 Oct. ANA is listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange.
1963 Nov. ANA merges with Fujita Koku K.K.; capital increases to ¥4.65 billion.
1965 Mar. Boeing 727s are introduced.
1965 Jul. Olympia YS-11s are introduced.
1969 May. Boeing 737s are introduced.
1971 Feb. Non-scheduled international services begin with the opening of a Tokyo/Hong Kong route.
1972 Aug. ANA's shares, previously listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo and Osaka stock exchanges, are listed on the First Section of both exchanges.
1973 Dec. Lockheed L-1011s are introduced.
1978 Dec. ANA's shares are listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
1978 Dec. Boeing 747s are introduced.
1983 Jun. Boeing 767s are introduced.
1985 Oct. The cumulative total number of passengers carried on domestic routes reaches 300 million.
1986 Mar. ANA begins scheduled international service with the opening of a Tokyo/Guam route.
1990 Nov. Boeing 747-400s introduced.
1991 Mar. Airbus A320s introduced.
1991 Oct. ANA's shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange.
1992 Oct. The cumulative total number of passengers carried on domestic routes reaches 500 million.
1994 Sep. ANA begins serving Kansai International Airport.
1995 Dec. Boeing 777s are introduced.
1998 Mar. Airbus A321s are introduced.
1999 Oct. ANA joins the Star Alliance Network.
2002 Dec. ANA celebrates the 50th anniversary of the foundation.
2003 Mar. The cumulative total number of passengers carried on domestic and international routes reaches 1 billion by ANA Group.
2005 Feb. ANA begins serving Central Japan International Airport.
2006 Mar. ANA celebrates 20 years of International Flights.
2011 Mar. ANA celebrates 25 years of International Flights.
