New Japanese World Heritage Sites Selected in July 2021!

The ANA Group would like to extend its congratulations to the area encompassing the islands of Amami Oshima and Tokunoshima, the northern part of the main island of Okinawa and Iriomote Island for its selection as a World Natural Heritage site, as well as the Jomon archaeological sites in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku for their selection as a World Cultural Heritage site. At the ANA Group, we are also very happy that these sites have been added to the World Heritage list. As an airline that serves these regions, we will continue to cherish communication with the local population and contribute to the creation of attractive regional areas through our efforts to protect the environment and further regional revitalization initiatives. From everyone at the ANA Group
ANA Future Promise World Heritage aims to establish a system of international cooperation and assistance to preserve the world's unique heritage sites and natural areas for the benefit of all humankind and protect them from the threat of damage or destruction. -From the Ministry of the Environment website-

In light of these areas being awarded World Heritage status, the ANA Group will be implementing further environmental and regional revitalization initiatives.
