  • ANA Domestic Upgrade Awards will be available for flights boarding on/after May 19, 2026.

  • For flights departing on/after May 19, 2026, the descriptions on the reservation search page for Japan domestic flights will change from "Premium Class" and "Economy Class Seat" to "First Class (Premium Class)" and "Economy Class" respectively.There are no plans for any changes to the service following this change in terminology.

Changes after Submitting the Application

The names of the passenger and the AMC member who is providing the miles cannot be changed after the application has been submitted.

Furthermore, upgrade awards are valid only on the flights for which the reservations have been made.
After the application has been submitted, the passenger name, flight number, date, sector, and boarding class cannot be changed, and the ticket cannot be issued as an open ticket.

    To make changes, you must complete the refund procedures for unused awards before the departure of the originally reserved flight and then submit a new upgrade award application.

Refunds for Unused Awards

Customers who wish to request a cancellation (refund) may do so only if the upgrade award has not been used.

Requests will be accepted on the ANA Website up to 20 minutes prior to the departure time of the originally reserved flight.

    Miles that have expired at the time of refund processing cannot be refunded.

    If a refund request is not received by the departure time of the originally reserved flight, the refund will not be given.

  • *

    Cancellations (refunds) are not available at the airport on the departure date.

Expiration Dates for Refunded Miles

The expiration dates for refunded miles will correspond to the expiration dates at the time that the award reservation was made (when mileage was redeemed).

    Miles that have expired at the time of refund processing cannot be refunded.

Refunds Due to Bad Weather, Equipment Malfunctions, etc.

If flight delays or cancellations occur as a result of force majeure (such as typhoons or snowfall) or equipment malfunctions, or other reasons which are attributable to ANA, all required mileage used to redeem upgrade awards will be refunded.

    Even miles that have expired at the time of refund processing will be refunded.

Procedures for Refunds

Procedures cannot be completed at the airport.
