Terms and Conditions for
ANA Domestic Upgrade Awards

Notes

ANA Domestic Upgrade Awards will be available for flights boarding on/after May 19, 2026.
For flights departing on/after May 19, 2026, the descriptions on the reservation search page for Japan domestic flights will change from "Premium Class" and "Economy Class Seat" to "First Class (Premium Class)" and "Economy Class" respectively.There are no plans for any changes to the service following this change in terminology.

Eligible Flights

ANA Japan Domestic Flights

ANA Group operated flights (ANA, ANA Wings) reserved with an ANA flight number are eligible for the service.

Fares Eligible for Upgrades

Flex, Standard, Biz, ANA Card Holder's Discount, Shareholder's Benefit Discount, Islands Discount, Youth, Senior, Inclusive Individual Tour Fare

Please have a purchased ticket for all sectors on which you wish to use awards.

In order to apply for upgrades, tickets must be purchased for the eligible Economy Class for upgrades.

Notes

Please note that, due to aircraft changes or changes in the number of reservations, meals may not be available even if you have reserved them.
In such cases, staff at the airport will inform you on the day.Thank you for your understanding.

Required Mileage

Starting from 4,000 miles for one sector

The mileage required to redeem an award will vary depending on the sector.
Please see "the Required Mileage Charts" for details.

Required mileage is defined for each sector and is different from the total mileage for all award sectors.

Please have a purchased ticket (with pre-upgrade classes of service) for all sectors on which you wish to use awards.

Family members who are registered for ANA Card Family Miles or the ANA Mileage Club Family Account (AFA) Service can combine miles required to redeem awards.

About Using ANA Upgrade Points

ANA Diamond Service Members, Platinum Service Members, Bronze Service Members, and Super Flyers Card Members may also use upgrade points for redemption.

Validity

Upgrade awards are valid only on the flights for which the reservations have been made.

Usage Policy for Infants and Children

Infants (under 2 years of age)

One infant per adult may sit on the adult's lap and travel free of charge.
Infants who require their own seat must have a ticket purchased with a upgrade-eligible fare, and will require the same amount of mileage as an adult for upgrades.

Children (2–11 years of age)

A ticket must be purchased with a upgrade-eligible fare, and will require the same amount of mileage as an adult for upgrades.

The age at the time of boarding the first sector is applicable.

Notes

Prioritized reservation and wait-list is available for upgrade on ANA domestic flight for premium members boarding on ANA Group operated flights when using member's own mileage.Registered award users who use awards while not accompanied by the AMC member are not eligible for priority reservations.
The number of seats that can be used with upgrade awards is limited (and such seats may not be available on some flights).
There may be cases when awards cannot be used even if normal fare seats are available.
When using Upgrade Awards, mileage and ANA Premium Point accrual will be calculated based on the fare of the ticket originally purchased.
With the exception of miles which are eligible for unused award refunds, miles which have been used for award redemption cannot be refunded to a mileage account or exchanged for another award, even if the originally redeemed award was not used.
The member or passenger will be responsible for any expenses incurred by using Upgrade Awards.
