Information About Connecting at Haneda Airport

International flights are being operated at Haneda Airport terminals 2 and 3. Transfer Map

Notice

  • Starting Sunday, February 1, 2026, the operating hours of the Terminal 3 Domestic Transfer Security Checkpoint will change.

    • *

      The Terminal 3 Domestic Transit Security Checkpoint is closed between 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
      During this time, please use the Free Shuttle Bus to transfer between terminals.

      Before Change : 5:30 AM- 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

      After Change    : 5:30 AM- 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM - 7:45 PM

  • The Domestic Connection Counter in Terminal 3 is open from 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

    • *

      The cut-off time for procedures at the Terminal 3 Domestic Transfer Counter is 60 minutes prior to the departure time.
      Outside the operating hours of the Terminal 3 Domestic Connection Counter, please complete procedures at Counter 14 in Terminal 2.

      This applies to domestic flights departing from Terminal 2.

Connecting between International Flights

Terminal 2 (International) ⇒ Terminal 2 (International)

STEP 1:Security Check

Please use the transit security checkpoint.

STEP 2:Proceed to Departure Area

Proceed to the departure gate for your connecting flight.

  • Follow the indications for International Connecting Flights (Terminal 2) and proceed to the security check.

Terminal 2 (International) ⇒ Terminal 3 (International)

STEP 1:Board the Connecting Shuttle Bus

Please board the bus bound for Terminal 3.

STEP 2:Alight from the Connecting Shuttle Bus

Please alight the bus bound for Terminal 3.

STEP 3:Security Check

Please use the transit security checkpoint.

STEP 4:Proceed to the Departure Area

Please proceed to the gate of your connecting flight.

  • Follow the indications for International Connecting Flights (Terminal 3) and proceed to the shuttle bus stop.

    After arriving at the terminal, please proceed to the security check.

Connecting between International and Domestic Flights

STEP 1:Proceed to Quarantine & Immigration

Please pass through quarantine and complete immigration procedures.

STEP 2:Baggage Claim

Please collect your checked baggage.

STEP 3:Customs

Please pass through customs.    

STEP 4:Proceed to Domestic Transfer Counter

Please check in your baggage at the International Transfer Counter.

STEP 5:Security Check

Please proceed to the security checkpoint.

STEP 6:Proceed to Departure Area

Please proceed to the gate of your connecting flight.

  • Collect any checked baggage at baggage claim and re-check your baggage at the domestic transit counter. Then go through the security check for domestic flights.

  • *

    Please check the above information regarding the Terminal 2 counter for transfers from international flights to domestic flights.

Terminal 3 (International) ⇒ Terminal 2 (Domestic)

STEP 1:Proceed to Quarantine & Immigration

After passing through security, please proceed to the bus stop.

STEP 7:Proceed to Departure Area

Please alight at the stop closest to your connecting flight gate.

  • Collect any checked baggage at baggage claim and re-check your baggage at the domestic transit counter.
    After going through the security checkpoint for domestic flights, please proceed to Terminal 2 using the shuttle bus for connecting passengers.

Connecting within Terminal 2 (Domestic to International)

  • Follow the indications for International Connecting flights (Terminal 2) and take the elevator up to the 3rd floor of departure lobby. Then go through the security check.

Connecting from Terminal 2 (Domestic) to Terminal 3 (International)

  • Follow the indications for International Transfers (Terminal 3) and proceed to Terminal 3 on the shuttle bus for connecting passengers.
    The bus will arrive at the 1st floor of Terminal 3.
    Proceed to the 3rd floor departures lobby and then go through the security checkpoint.
