Connecting to Air Canada domestic flights from ANA

Connecting to Air Canada

After going through Immigration and Baggage Claim, please proceed after the display of Canada Connection.

Please submit the Customs Declaration Form, and then check-in your baggage at the Baggage conveyor of Air Canada.

Go up to the 4th floor by the dedicated elevator, and proceed to the Air Canada connecting counter.

Connecting to flights of airlines other than Air Canada

Please go through immigration and customs inspection. If you are transferring to a flight on the same day and the destination on your baggage tag is the final destination, you generally do not need to pick up your checked baggage at the departure airport. However, if you are transferring to a flight the next day, please note that you will need to pick up your baggage.
Please note, however, that any baggage containing pets or firearms must be collected by passengers.
However, passengers checking firearms, checking pets or traveling with service dogs will be required to collect their baggage. You may also need to collect your baggage if instructed to do so by the local authorities.

Connecting to domestic flights operated by airlines other than Air Canada from ANA

After completing the arrival procedures, follow the "Arrivals" signs to the 3rd floor, then go to the check-in counter of the connecting airline and complete boarding procedures.
If you checked in your baggage at your departure airport, you will need to pick it up yourself in Vancouver. Furthermore, after passing through customs, you will need to check your baggage in again at a counter for domestic flights. Please take care not to forget to pick up your baggage.
The connecting counter of WestJet Airlines is located at the International Arrival Lobby (on the 2nd floor).

Connecting from ANA to international flights

Connecting to the U.S.

If you are transferring to a flight on the same day and the destination on your baggage tag is the final destination, you do not need to pick up your baggage at Vancouver Airport. Please follow the signs for "USA Connections". However, if you are transferring to a flight the next day, please note that you will need to pick up your baggage.
If you need to check in, please use the self-check-in kiosk or inquire at the transfer desk. After that, proceed to security inspection, U.S. immigration, and customs inspection.
Please present your passport and U.S. entry documents. Customers eligible for it can use the Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks for immigration clearance.
After passing through customs inspection, please proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight.

Connecting to flights other than the U.S.

When your baggage was checked in through to the final destination with the tag printed as such, you do not have to pick up your baggage at Vancouver Airport.

Please go after the sign "International Connections."

Please present your passport and Customs Declaration Form for Canada at the connecting inspection site.

After this, please proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight.

Connection from Canada domestic flights to ANA

If you are transferring to a flight on the same day and the destination on your baggage tag is the final destination, you generally do not need to pick up your checked baggage at the departure airport. Please follow the signs for "International Connections". After that, proceed to the boarding gate with your boarding pass (or e-ticket receipt).
However, if you are transferring to a flight the next day, please note that you will need to pick up your baggage.

Connection from international flights to ANA

If you are transferring to a flight on the same day and the destination on your baggage tag is the final destination, you generally do not need to pick up your checked baggage at the departure airport. Please follow the signs for "International Connections". At the transfer inspection area, please present your passport, Canadian customs declaration form, and boarding pass (or e-ticket receipt).
After that, proceed to the boarding gate for your connecting flight.
However, if you are transferring to a flight the next day, please note that you will need to pick up your baggage.
