What Are the "TEBURA" Service and Airport Baggage Delivery Service?

Have you ever found it a bother traveling from your home in Japan to the airport while weighed down with heavy baggage? And have you ever struggled to get home from the airport due to all your luggage? For those of you wanting to travel lighter, baggage delivery is the perfect solution. Use the services on offer to enjoy an easy, hands free journey and a more active itinerary.

  • Yamato Transport's TA-Q-BIN Terms and Conditions apply to baggage transportation from collection to arrival at the departure airport for your international flight, while ANA's Conditions of Carriage -International and Baggage- apply to the air transportation of your baggage on the international flight.

Three different services are available. Use the "TEBURA" Service to enjoy an easy, hands free journey to the arrival airport outside Japan. Use the Airport Baggage Delivery Service to enjoy a light and easy journey to the departure airport. Use the Airport Baggage Delivery Service to enjoy a convenient journey home as well.

Details of Each Service

"TEBURA" Service (Paid Service): Delivery from Location in Japan to Arrival Airport Outside Japan

Have your baggage collected from your preferred location in Japan (e.g., your home) and then claim it at the arrival airport outside Japan. This extremely convenient service also eliminates the need to check in baggage at the departure airport (Narita, Haneda, Kansai).

Send all your heavy baggage to the airport outside Japan for an easy, hands free journey!

When traveling internationally, send your large pieces of baggage (weight and size restrictions apply) straight from your home or another location in Japan to the arrival airport outside Japan. (*1)

Earn miles!

Earn 100 ANA miles for each piece of baggage you send. (*2) For details, please see "TEBURA" Service and Airport Baggage Delivery Service.

Receive a delivery completion notification via email for peace of mind!

You can request to receive an email notification (*3) when your baggage has been delivered to the departure airport for your international flight. To register for this, please go to the request screen.

  • *1.Baggage cannot be collected from locations where the driver cannot collect it directly from the customer, such as accommodation facilities and convenience stores.
  • *2.Mileage accrual is only available for baggage delivery requests made via the ANA website. Requests can also be made through the Yamato Transport Service Center, but mileage accrual is not available in this instance.
  • *3.As a general rule, email notifications are sent in the early evening on the day before departure. You can also track the delivery status of your baggage on the Yamato Transport website.

This service is available to customers who have reserved an international flight that will be operated by ANA under an ANA flight number from Narita, Haneda or Kansai. (Excludes flights to/from the U.S., codeshare flights operated by other airlines and flights operated by ANA under a non-ANA flight number.)
It is not available to infants who will not occupy their own seat on the aircraft.

  • This service is not available on U.S. flights (including Honolulu), due to restrictions imposed by the U.S. aviation authorities.
  • ANA Premium Members using the "TEBURA" Service will still have priority tags attached to their baggage for priority baggage claim after arrival, and this will be done when their baggage is checked in at the airport.

This service can only be requested on the Yamato Transport requests website when accessed via the ANA website.
It cannot be requested over the phone.

STEP1
Flight Ticket Reservation

Reserve and purchase an ANA international flight ticket before making your baggage delivery request.

Apply

Please click on the Make a Request button on this page to go to the Reservation Details screen, and then make your request from the service menu.

STEP3
Baggage Collection

A Yamato Transport sales driver will come to collect your baggage.
You will not need to fill out a waybill as the driver will already have one with your details printed on it.
The driver will ask you to pay the fee. (Only cash is accepted.)

STEP4
Departure

Please remember to bring with you the customer copy of the waybill handed to you upon baggage collection, and present it at the check-in counter or the boarding gate at the departure airport for your international flight (Narita, Haneda, Kansai).
You will then receive a baggage receipt for the baggage being transported by air.

STEP5
Baggage Claim

When you arrive at the airport of disembarkation, please claim your baggage at the specified baggage claim (turntable, etc.) for your flight.

Use of Online Check-in in addition to the Luggage delivery "TEBURA" service allows you to conveniently proceed directly to the security checkpoint at the airport on the date of your departure.

Requests can be made from 30 days before the departure date for an international flight departing from Japan. After making your request, please see the Yamato Transport website for specific service availability dates. The request deadline will vary depending on the collection area. Please see the details on deadline dates and times.

When traveling on a flight departing from Haneda Airport after 22:00

Baggage collection within the Tokyo metropolitan area (excluding outlying islands) can be requested until 15:00 on the day before departure (or 2 days before departure for flights departing after midnight).

Yamato Transport's Airport TA-Q-BIN fee + JPY 330 ("TEBURA" Service fee) *1
The fee will vary depending on the collection area and the size of the baggage. Please see the Airport TA-Q-BIN Rates.

  • *1.As the applicable rate of Japanese consumption tax was increased on October 1, 2019, the fees for the "TEBURA" Service have been changed in accordance with the interim measures based on the Consumption Tax Act. (Changed from JPY 324 to JPY 330.)

This service is only available for one-way journeys and not for round-trip journeys.

Items that Are Not Accepted

When using the "TEBURA" Service, any baggage collected by Yamato Transport will be handed over to ANA as checked baggage for your flight, and will not be returned to you at the departure airport. We therefore kindly ask that you note the following 3 points.

  • In case during the baggage inspection at the airport, we notice a possibility that your baggage might contain an item that cannot be accepted, we may ask you to examine your baggage in the presence of the ANA staff.
Excess Baggage Charges upon Departure

Please note that, if the baggage collected by Yamato Transport exceeds the free baggage allowance for the aircraft (as set out in ANA's Conditions of Carriage -International Passenger and Baggage-), you will be asked to pay an excess baggage charge. Please see the free baggage allowance for ANA international flights.
Please note that excess baggage charges should be paid at the check-in counter or the boarding gate on the departure date.

When Changing or Canceling Your Request

Even if you change or cancel your flight, your "TEBURA" Service request will not be automatically changed or canceled.
In this instance, please contact the Yamato Transport Service Center at your earliest convenience.

  • The number of items to be collected by Yamato Transport cannot be changed after you have made your request.
    If you need to change the number of items, please contact the Yamato Transport Service Center to cancel your existing request and then make a new one.

Airport Baggage Delivery Service (Paid Service): Delivery to Departure Airport for International Flight inside Japan (Narita, Haneda, Kansai)

Have your baggage collected from your preferred location in Japan (e.g., your home) and then claim it at the departure airport for your international flight (Narita, Haneda, Kansai). When using this service, please check in your baggage at the ANA counter at the departure airport.

Airport Baggage Delivery Service (Paid Service): Delivery from Arrival Airport for International Flight (Narita, Haneda, Kansai) to Preferred Location in Japan

Have your baggage delivered from Narita, Haneda or Kansai airport to your preferred location in Japan (e.g., your home).

  • This TA-Q-BIN Service is not available from overseas locations.

No need to apply in advance!

Requests do not need to be made in advance, meaning that you only have to use the service on your arrival date when it is necessary.

Please make your request at the relevant airport counter on your arrival date. Requests do not need to be made in advance.
When you next use this delivery service, please present your ANA Card or ANA Mileage Club Card.

  • Use from Narita Int'l Airport will be "GPA Narita Airport Delivery.

Kaisoku Takku-Bin (Home Delivery) (Fee: JPY 1,000 per piece)

Have the baggage that you checked in at the domestic baggage counter delivered straight to your preferred location in Japan (either your home or an accommodation facility). This extremely convenient service also eliminates the need to claim baggage at the arrival airport for your Japan domestic flight.
