Involuntary Refunds due to Irregularities beyond ANA's control (such as bad weather) [Japan Domestic Flights]

Information Regarding Processing Fees and Refund Periods

Point 1

When a refund is issued,no cancellation fee will apply.

Within 1 year and 30 days (or, if completing the procedure via the ANA website, within 4 days of the last departure date of your itinerary) of the trip start date (or issue date if the trip has not been started*)

    Before the departure time of the first segment for refunds of ANA Japan Domestic Flight Awards via the ANA website

    For information regarding flight awards, please see the relevant handling details.

    If you plan to request a refund for a delayed/canceled flight and you are not going to be able to catch your connecting/return flight (i.e., itinerary to return to the departure location or in its direction), you will also be able to request a refund for the latter in line with the abovementioned points.
    In this instance, please make your refund requests for the delayed/canceled flight and the connecting/return flight at the same time.
    Depending on the details of your change or refund request, ANA may contact you to confirm the circumstances.

    A Cancellation Fee may apply to any refunds following a change. For details, please refer to Various Charges Related to Flight Tickets.

Information Regarding Refunds Issued via the ANA Website

Refund requests are accepted via the ANA website in the following cases:

  • Payments made by credit card, cash (Convenience Stores/Pay-easy/Online Banking), or ANA SKY COINS

    • *

      Cash (Convenience Stores/Pay-easy/Online Banking): Only available to ANA Mileage Club Members

  • Until 4 days after the final departure date of the itinerary*

  • *

    or before the departure time of the first segment for domestic award tickets

Cases in which refunds cannot be issued via the ANA Website

Refunds for the following types of tickets cannot be processed via the ANA Website. The handling places of the refund are shown below.

  • Refunds made 5 days or more after the final departure date of the itinerary

  • When a passenger has multiple segments in their itinerary due to one or more transfers and only one segment will be refunded before all segments have been boarded

      Refunds will be available for the remaining segments after the first segment has been boarded (refunds may not be available depending on the fare type)

  • If purchased from a travel agency

  • When there is a reservation record where a refund is required due to a delay or cancellation, separate from the reservation record of the delayed/canceled flight

  • If you purchased using cash at an ANA Domestic Airport Counter

In the event that any of the above apply, refunds can be obtained via the ANA Domestic Reservation / Information Center.

For flight tickets purchased through a travel agency, please complete the procedures through the travel agency from which the tickets were purchased.

    Irrespective of the above, there may be instances in which refunds cannot be processed via the Internet, depending on the type of ticket issued, payment method or vendor.

Information Regarding Refund Methods and Number of Days Required

The method by which your refund is issued will depend on the payment method used at the time of purchase.

Credit card

Refund Method Number of Days
Refunds will be made via the company of the credit card used for purchase.

The timing of the refund application may differ based on your credit card company's closure date and refund processing procedure. It might take around 1 to 2 months to process the refund.

Cash

Refund Method Number of Days
A refund will be issued via bank remittance to your specified account (remittance fees will be borne by ANA).

◆Refunds through the ANA Website (Convenience Stores/Pay-easy/Online Banking)

  • ・This is only available to ANA Mileage Club Members.
  • ・Refunds can be made on the same day if applied for during the hours of operation for financial institutions.
  • ・If applied for outside of the hours of operation, refunds will be transferred on the next day.

◆For Refunds Processed via the ANA Reservation / Information Center

  • ・Funds will be returned to your account approximately 10 days after your refund is processed.
  • *More than 10 days may be required in some cases, including during the New Year holiday season and Golden Week.
  • *The processing time may even be longer in certain situations, such as during a financial institution system failure or when numerous flights are canceled due to inclement weather, etc.

ANA SKY COINS

Refund Method Number of Days
Refunds will be made in ANA SKY COINS. However, ANA SKY COINS that are expired at the time your refund is processed cannot be refunded. Your ANA SKY COINS will be returned immediately upon successful processing of your refund.
