Please note the below changes to the Japan domestic passenger service.

We will notify you of any additional information in due course.

Some changes will also affect international flights.

Japan Domestic Flights
International Flights

For items with both a "Japan Domestic Flights" and "International Flights" icon, the changes will be made for international flights as well.

Reservation and Ticket Purchase

Flight reservations can be made up to 355 days prior to the flight date.

Reservations for flights on May 19, 2026 accepted from May 29, 2025 (from 9:00 a.m. Japan time).

Ticket Handling

  • Due to the fare renewal, tickets for boarding on or before MM DD, YY(before) cannot be used after MM DD, YY(after).

    • Regarding flights until MM DD, YY

      Due to the fare renewal, flights departing before MM DD, YY(before) and after MM DD, YY(after) cannot be included in one reservation. Please make separate reservations.

      Additionally, you cannot change a flight departing before MM DD, YY(before) to a flight departing after MM DD, YY(after)*.

      If you wish to make changes due to personal reasons, please receive a refund and make a new reservation with your desired itinerary. A prescribed fee will be charged for refunds.

      No fees will be charged for changes due to bad weather or equipment failure. Please contact the ANA Domestic Reservation and Information Center.

      • *

        Even for fares that allow reservation changes, changes cannot be made.

    • Regarding flights from MM DD, YY(after)

      Due to the fare renewal, flights departing before MM DD, YY(before) and after MM DD, YY(after) cannot be included in one reservation. Please make separate reservations.

      Additionally, you cannot change your flight on or after MM DD, YY(after) to a flight on or before MM DD, YY(before)*.

  • We will no longer be handling open tickets. When making a reservation, please specify the boarding date and flight.
    Passengers with open tickets must board by MM DD, YY(before).
    If you do not plan to fly by MM DD, YY(before), please request a refund.

  • Flight coupons must be used in sequence according to the ticket.
    Ex.: When the flight coupons for a ticket are sector 1 (Tokyo-Osaka), and sector 2 (Osaka-Fukuoka), you cannot use sector 2 before using sector 1.

  • Advance seat reservation may be possible depending on the fare.
    Seat reservations is available 24 hours prior to flight departure through online check-in.For more details, please refer to Information on Seat Reservations.

Age of Children

  • The applicable ages of infants and children will be changed as follows.

  • Infants also require a ticket.
    Please book and issue tickets for infants at the same time as accompanying adults.

Confirming Your Reservation

  • Confirmation numbers will no longer be used.
    Please have the reservation number (6 alphanumeric characters) or ticket number (13 digits) shown on your e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt ready.

When Using Flight Awards

Customers who require assistance

  • Expectant mothers within 14 days of their due date (including the due date) must be accompanied by a physician.

  • Children as young as 5 years old can use the ANA Junior Pilot (customers traveling alone) service.
    Please apply to the ANA Junior Pilot service.
    (If your child is aged 8 to 11 years old and does not require assistance, please select "Not required" when applying.)

Reservation Notes

  • Passengers' names must be registered in Hepburn romanization or the alphabet.
    Ex.: 空野 太郎 → SORANO/TARO

    For details, please refer to Entering your name when making a reservation.

  • Please register your date of birth when making a reservation.

  • Class descriptions on the Reservation Search page will change*.
    "Premium Class" will be changed to "First Class (Premium Class)". In addition, the "regular seat" will be changed to "economy class".

      There will be no changes to the services themselves following these changes.

Waitlist

If there are no seats left on your preferred flight, you can use one of the following services to make a standby request: the Waitlist Reservation Service (an online service) or Standby at the Airport.

Changes

Changes Made for Personal Reasons

  • Please make reservation changes at least 20 minutes before the departure time.

  • If the itineraries including transit points, it will not be possible to change each flight on the ANA website.Customers who would like to make such changes are kindly requested to contact the ANA Japan Domestic Reservation and Customer Service Center.

  • On the following routes where the fare booked allows changes, it will no longer be possible to change between the specified airports.

    Fukuoka Airport ⇔ Kitakyushu Airport ⇔ Saga Airport ⇔ Fukuoka Airport

    Hiroshima Airport ⇔ Iwakuni Airport

  • Changes can be made for tickets purchased with fares for which this is permitted. Some fare rules may not allow reservation changes, or handling fees may apply.

Changes Caused by Issues Such as Poor Weather and Aircraft Maintenance

  • Handling fees will not apply to the following changes.

     However, you will be able to change your reservation again if your new flight is delayed or canceled.

    Charges or fare differences will not be surcharged or refunded. If you cancel your flight reservation for personal reasons after changing it, you will be charged a predetermined charge for the original fare.

      Reserved flight: Refers to the initially reserved flight that has been delayed or canceled (or is to be canceled). 

    • *

      The flights subject to the above conditions due to delays are flights that have had their departure times delayed by 30 minutes or more.

    • *

      If it is necessary to change a connecting or inbound flight (itinerary for returning to the departure point or in the same direction) due to a delayed or canceled flight, this can be changed in the same way. In this instance, please change your delayed/canceled flight and the connecting/return flight at the same time.

Refunds

Please complete the refund procedure within 30 days from the day after the expiry date of your ticket.

  • Refunds can be issued on the ANA Website up to 4 days after the last boarding date on your itinerary (or before the departure time of the first segment for domestic award tickets).

  • We cannot issue refunds for only a portion of an itinerary.Please request a refund for all of the flights on your itinerary and make a new reservation.

  • Please see here for cancellation fees.No handling fee will be charged for refunds due to bad weather, equipment failure, etc.

Checked baggage

  • The weight and size of baggage that can be checked in at the airport will change.
    Additionally, new rules will be established regarding the number of pieces of baggage that can be checked in for free.
    The number of pieces of baggage you can check in for free varies depending on the fare you purchase, so please check your e-ticket receipt.

Weight

  • Premium Class 

    Free of charge up to 32 kg per piece

  • Economy Class

    Free of charge up to 23kg per piece

Size

The total linear dimensions (length, width, height) per item is no more than 158 cm.

  • *

    Includes wheels and handle.

  • *

    Even if the total linear dimensions of your baggage are no more than 158 cm, restrictions may apply to the longest side depending on the aircraft to be used for your flight.

Number of Pieces

  • Premium Class 

    Up to 3 pieces

  • Economy Class

    Up to 2 pieces

  • *

    Depends on the fare purchased.

Additional Charge will be applied for baggage that does not fall within the free baggage allowance.
However, it may not always be possible to check in a piece of baggage with total linear dimensions (length, width, height) exceeding 203 cm or a weight exceeding 32 kg, or baggage with a total weight exceeding 100 kg.

Upgrading

  • Miles will be added as a payment method for upgrades. Please pay with cash (airport only), credit card, Upgrade Points (ANA Premium members only), or miles (ANA Mileage Club members only).
    Additionally, if you are paying with upgrade points or miles, we will accept applications from 27 days prior to boarding.

Check-In

Check-in procedure and some services/procedures at the airport will change.(Ex.: Check-in for the codeshare flights or Standby at the airport)

Applicable Conditions of Carriage

Japan Domestic Flights
International Flights

The new "Conditions of Carriage for Passenger Baggage" will apply to travel starting on/after MM DD, YY.

The terms and conditions of carriage applicable to japan domestic flights will change from the terms and conditions valid on the boarding date to the terms and conditions valid on the travel start date.

For itineraries including international flights and starting before MM DD, YY(before), the current "Conditions of Carriage for International Flights" will apply to the entire itinerary.

There will be changes to the procedures for mileage services, including upgrade awards and Premium Member Services.
