This page provides information about the weight, size, and number of items which can be checked in at the airport. Baggage which meets the weight and length restrictions can be checked in free of charge.
For flights departing on or after May 19, 2026, the descriptions on the reservation search page for Japan domestic flights have been changed from "Premium Class" and "Economy Class Seat" to "First Class (Premium Class)" and "Economy Class" respectively.
There are no plans for any changes to the service following this change in terminology.
As the various handling procedures will be different for flights operated by Japan Air Commuter and Amakusa Airlines, you are kindly requested to see the information on the Japan Air Commuter or Amakusa Airlines page before you travel on such flights.

When the segments are booked under different reservation numbers (e.g., booked in two separate transactions).
Musical instruments, bicycles and sporting equipment can be checked in within the limits of the free baggage allowance.
However, if the size (total linear dimensions) exceeds the limit, the handling differs from that of normal baggage.
For more details, please see Musical Instruments (Japan Domestic Flights) or Bicycles and Sporting Equipment (Japan Domestic Flights).
We will accept your baggage after the implementation of a security inspection. For security reasons, we may check your baggage again before departure.
Please switch off electronic devices (excluding valuables and fragile items) in your checked baggage. Additionally, please protect the device itself by packing it into a sturdy suitcase or wrapping it in items of clothing or similar. (This is to prevent fires from accidental operation or damage.)
When there is not enough storage space, your baggage may be sent to your destination on another flight or by other means of transportation.
Since some ANA flights (operated with aircraft type DH4) and flights operated by IBEX Airlines and Oriental Air Bridge are operated with smaller aircraft, your baggage may not be accepted for check-in even if its total linear dimensions fall within 203 cm. Please check the maximum combined linear dimensions of baggage for each aircraft type.

ANA cannot be held liable for any damages or loss that may occur to fragile items on airplanes (such as watches, glass, etc.), electronic devices (such as computers and cameras), valuables, and daily necessities (such as medicines). Please do not check in these items.
If you will be boarding your flight together with other people, you can combine your free baggage allowances and have one person check in everyone's baggage.
