Ultra-high speed! Optical line internet service with a maximum downlink speed of 2 Gbps

NURO Hikari is an optical line internet service provided by Sony Network Communications Inc. with an ultra-high downlink speed of 2 Gbps. Unlike conventional services where you have to wait around, NURO Hikari allows for the comfortable, stress-free download of music, video and more besides. The service includes convenient, high-speed wireless LAN and built-in security, meaning customers will not have to provide these for themselves.

  • Note: This plan is available in the Kanto region (Tokyo Metropolitan Area; Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma prefectures), the Tokai region (Aichi, Shizuoka, Gifu, and Mie prefectures), and most of the Kansai region (Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Shiga, and Nara prefectures). Please note that some areas within these regions may not be covered.

  • This partnership has ended as of January 31, 2019, and applications made to this merchant are no longer eligible for mileage accrual.
    Customers who make an application on or before January 31 and continue with their contract will continue to accrue miles during the mileage accrual period even after the partnership has ended.

Up to 10,000 miles will be earned by credited to your account upon continuous usage and contract renewal of the service.

Eligible Members

  • Opening new account: Those who have been using the service for 6 months or more from the month they opened their account.
  • Monthly usage: Those who have been using the service for 7 months or more from the month they opened their account.
  • Contract renewal: Those who have been using the service for 27 months or more from the month they opened their account.
  • Note: Mileage for opening a new account and contract renewal will be credited on one occasion only.
  • Note: Mileage for monthly usage will be applicable upon 20 months of continuous usage.

How to Accrue Miles

  • 1.Please apply for an applicable plan on the application page for ANA Mileage Club members or via the telephone.
    • Note: When applying on the phone, please state that you have viewed the ANA mileage awards page.
  • 2.After the line has been opened for service, you will receive an information email from Sony Network Communications asking you to register your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number. Please follow the instructions in the email.

      Customers who start using NURO Hikari on and before January 31, 2017 will receive the information email in the middle of February 2017.
      Customers who start using NURO Hikari in and after February 2017 will receive the information email by the middle of the month following the month in which they start.

Mileage Accrual Date

  • Opening new account: Mileage will be accrued by the end of the 7th month after the month you opened your account.
  • Monthly usage: Mileage will be accrued at the end of each month, and will start from the 8th month after the month you opened your account.
  • Contract renewal: Mileage will be accrued by the end of the 28th month after the month you opened your account.

Retroactive Mileage Registration

You will be unable to retroactively register your miles from the 28th month after the month you opened your account.

Notes

  • Regarding Application
  • Customers who apply via the application page or telephone will accrue miles.
  • Customers who newly apply for a NURO Hikari applicable plan or who change their plan from another plan provided by Sony Network Communications to a NURO Hikari applicable plan will be eligible for mileage accrual. Customers who already concluded a contract or are using an applicable plan, or who change from a NURO Hikari non-applicable to an applicable plan will not be eligible for accrual.
  • Customers who start the service on or before the last day of the month 12 months after applying for a new applicable plan or a plan change will be eligible for mileage accrual.
  • You cannot apply for this service in conjunction with other campaigns.
  • Customers who have received an award or discount for a NURO Hikari plan in the past are not eligible for mileage accrual.
  • You will incur a set cancellation fee if you cancel the plan within two years of starting to use NURO Hikari. Please refer to this page for details.
  • Mileage accrual requires the continuous use of NURO Hikari until the mileage accrual day of the month applicable for awards.
  • Please note that if you cancel the contract after the mileage accrual day within the same month, you will not be eligible for mileage accrual in the following month.
    Example: When cancelling the NURO Hikari contract after the mileage for the 20th month has been accrued, there will be no mileage accrual from the 21st month onward.
  • Regarding Registration of 10-digit ANA Mileage Club Membership Number
  • For mileage accrual, it is necessary to register your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number.If there is any mistake in your registered membership information, you will not be eligible for mileage accrual.
  • If you registered your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number incorrectly and mileage has been accrued to another member's account, you will not be able to accrue the mileage that has already been accrued to the other member's account even after registering the correct ANA Mileage Club membership number.
  • If your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number has changed, change it on the form on which your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number is registered.
  • If you have already converted So-net points for ANA mileage and your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number is registered in the So-net membership information, you do not need to register your 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number again.
  • If you register a 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number different to that already registered, the 10-digit ANA Mileage Club membership number used to accrue miles when converting So-net points for ANA mileage will automatically be updated to the newly registered number.
